“King Of Nothing” is the first taster of the upcoming album “A Million Questions Glow In The Dark” June 2nd by the producer Helax.
“I’ve written a lot of songs for various projects over the last couple of years and decided , while finishing other stuff, to drop this new ambient Helax album right now – says Helax -. Most of it was written and recorded during the pandemic in Berlin – Some songs are more conventional and electronic, and some songs almost drift into ambient/drone/classical music territory . I guess the title “a million questions glow in the dark ” reflects how I , and I’m sure many with me, feel at the moment. These are strange times, with a lot of uncertainty…but no answers…only questions…whether it’s climate change, the war , A.I, the economy. And the fact that Artificial Intelligence made the actual cover to the album is also a bit scary. I entered a few ideas for a picture, and out came this…and I thought it was so weird and spooky that I kept it and decided to use it. And that just leaves me with even more questions. It´s a strange album but I’m very proud of it.”
Coming from Uppsala but based in Berlin, Helax is the brainchild of the Swedish producer behind dream-pop duo The Ghost Of Helags and electronic act Brynäs (a duo that he formed with his brother, also known to be the lead singer of Anglo-Swedish indie band Alberta Cross).
