Having a weird party? Norrisette’s got you. WEIRD PARTY features her best 6 tracks, showcasing the quintessential DIY Norrisette electronic sound straight from her tiny flat in Manchester.
“Metal Hotel” was made in an AirBnB when Norrisette had nowhere to live for a few weeks.
“Wild Being” was inspired by rage against the cost of living crisis.
“Prometheus” is about humanity’s irresponsible use of fire.
“Whale House” is a tongue-in-cheek collaboration with Artificial Intelligence software that was trained on Norrisette’s music alone.
“Fluffwerk” is a tribute to FLUFF (Norrisette and Industries’ night of queer electronica) and the community around it.
“A Quiet Death” is that tragic song at the end of the night when everyone needs to sit for a moment. It’s about grieving the loss of a partner.
Norrisette debut gig was in September 2021 supporting Sylvette at Deaf Institute, and since then she has played the Nebula stage at Bluedot Festival, several headline gigs in Manchester, and has set up her own regular night of queer electronica (FLUFF) with Industries. FLUFF was featured in the Guardian due to its takeover at Sounds From the Other City Festival. Norrisette will also be performing at Manchester International Festival this summer.
