E’ per soddisfare questo piacere e per trasmetterlo ai lettori che abbiamo voluto riportare ciò che Pfirter ci ha raccontato.
Sappiamo che nel mondo dell’arte, musicisti, produttori e dj, sono spesso sotto gli occhi della critica. Quale è stato il più bel complimento ricevuto e la più brutta offesa?
La miglior soddisfazione che io abbia mai ricevuto è quella di far ballare la folla durante i miei djset, con le mie tracce. Anche sentire i miei brani suonati da altri dj che rispetto. A parte questo, non faccio molto attenzione alle recensioni negative, quindi ad essere onesti, posso dire di non essere mai stato offeso da nessuno.
Il Sudamerica è la tua patria, noti qualche somiglianza con l’Italia?
Ebbene si, moltissime somiglianze. Anche se ora vivo in Europa, io sono nato in Argentina e ho vissuto li per 30 anni. Quasi tutti in Argentina hanno un nonno italiano e l’influenza italiana è enorme, come quella spagnola. Dal cibo al modo passionale di vivere la vita. Anche l’energia e l’intensità che si respira nei locali notturni è molto simile all’Italia.
Quali caratteristiche deve avere chi volesse entrare in MindTrip?
MindTrip è la mia piattaforma, che utilizzo per stampare la mia musica e a volte qualche remix di amici produttori che rispetto. Quest’anno stiamo per rilasciare una compilation su vinile, con original mix di altri artisti. La cosa più importante per me è che questi artisti abbiano una solida carriera, una credibilità forte e che producano techno di qualità. Quest’ultimo sarebbe il requisito fondamentale. Per me è importante sapere che chi vuole lavorare con me, deve farlo in modo rilassato e collaborativo. Non tutti ci riescono.
Qual è stata fino ad oggi la tua emozione più forte o il traguardo che ricordi con più piacere?
Ne ho provate molte nel corso degli anni, ma se devo sceglierne una sola, direi quando ho suonato al Berghain, per la prima volta nel 2009. Era uno di quei momenti che non avrei mai potuto dimenticare, non solo per l’emozione del momento, ma anche perchè non tutti possono suonare o semplicemente visitare un club del genere.
Con quale artista del passato avresti sognato di lavorare insieme, non necessariamente techno?
Jimmy Cauty, Kurt Cobain (escluderlo sarebbe impossibile) e molti altri di sicuro…

We know that in the world of art, usually, musicians, producers and Dj have critique’s eyes on them. What was the best received compliment and the worse offense?
The best compliment I ever receive is the one from the crowd dancing to my sessions and to my own tracks; also to hear my tracks played by djs that I like and respect. Apart from that, I’m not really paying attention to great or bad reviews on any other level…so to be honest I cannot really consider myself offended by anyone
Your country is South America. Acconding to you, is there any similarity between your country and Italy?
Well yes, many! Even if I now live in Europe I was born in Argentina and lived there for 30 years. Almost everyone in Argentina has an Italian grandparent, and the Italian (and also Spanish) influence is huge, from the food to the passionate way of living life, and also the intensity and energy at the night clubs is quite similar.
What features should be who want to get into MindTrip?
MindTrip is mainly my own platform for releasing my own original music and also many times this original tracks has been remixed by friends who’s music I respect and like a lot. This year we are releasing a 3 vinyl compilation including original tracks by other artists as well, and the most important thing for me is that these artists have a solid career and a credibility based on releasing timeless, quality techno music. That would the main requirement. Its also very important for me to know every artist on the label in person as I want to work with people in a relaxed and collaborative way, and not everyone is like that!
What was your strongest emotion or goal that you remember with pleasure until now?
I have many over the years, but if I have to choose just one I would say playing Berghain for my first time in 2009. It was one of those moments that I could never forget, not only for the emotion of the moment but for all I can live and learn everytime I play or simply visit a club like that.
Which artist in the past would you have liked to work with, unnecessarily techno?
Jimmy Cauty, Kurt Cobain (that would have been weird!) and many more for sure…
