The giants of house music Trax Records and Up Beat! will join forces on 29’th Saturday lighting up the night of Shinjuku with a memorable party. 

After marking 23 years of japan’s house music scene, the legendary long-running party ”Up Beat!”  takes a bold step with its new format ”Rave On”. The iconic label Trax Records will join this sleepless night on 29th Saturday presenting its latest release ”You Got” EP from Cartoon & D Beat

While embracing the concept of outdoor parties, “UP Beat! Rave On” will takes place in the dark fortress of Ohjo Building. The raw and sweaty energy of rave intertwine the groove soul of house music for an unforgettable night in the underground of Tokyo.

From the Up Beat! roster the line-up includes Yamariki, founder of the Japanese collective, Punk N Matrix, AnitA, na-na, Anzu, Sara e KZY, who’s working on an upcoming release with Cartoon. Instead, Cartoon will represent Trax Records performing for the first time “You Got Ep” in collaboration with D Beat, released today on Trax.

Established in 1964 during the first Tokyo Olympics, Ohjo Building operated as a coffee shop attracting intellectuals and contributing to the development of arts and culture.
